Thousand Oaks Smile Design Updated Appointment Confirmation Policy and Missed Appointment Fee - 4/8/2024

Dear Valued Patients,

 

As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the smooth operation of our practice and provide you with the best possible dental care experience, we want to remind you of our appointment confirmation policy.

 

As you may already know, we typically schedule your dental hygiene appointments 3 to 6 months in advance to accommodate your busy schedule. We understand that life can sometimes throw unexpected curveballs, and plans may need to change. That's why we have always implemented a thorough appointment confirmation process to keep you informed of your upcoming visits.

 

When you schedule an appointment with us, we utilize various communication channels, including telephone, text message, and email, to remind you of your upcoming visit. We've made it even easier for you to confirm your appointment by offering a simple confirmation process through our text messages – just click the letter "C" to confirm with a single tap.

 

However, it's important to note that if we do not receive any response from you confirming your appointment by 12:00 pm the day prior to your scheduled visit, we will automatically cancel your appointment. This policy has been put in place to reduce instances of missed appointments, which not only inconveniences other patients but also disrupts our scheduling and prevents us from providing timely care to those in need.

 

In addition, we would like to inform you that we have always had a missed appointment fee of $75 per hour reserved for patients who fail to show up for their scheduled appointment or cancel within 48 business hours of their appointment time. This fee helps us cover the costs associated with the missed appointment and ensures that we can continue to provide quality care to all our patients.

 

We value your time and trust in us to care for your dental needs. By confirming your appointments in a timely manner or notifying us of any changes as soon as possible, you help us maintain an efficient schedule and provide the best possible care to all our patients.

 

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment for any reason, please don't hesitate to contact us as soon as possible. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we're here to assist you in any way we can.
